THE GROFF/ELLISON POLITICAL REPORT

Where are the animal rights activists?

Posted in Uncategorized by groffellison on September 11, 2008

First: either little reporting or just little heard from those “fanatical” animal rights activists who wile out when celebrities wear furs at red carpet galas, yet appear eerily silent when super “hockey mom” Alaskan Gov. and GOP running mate is celebrated for her infamous animal hunting.  Maybe it’s just some of us, but we’re finding this recent photo (and several others) a bit disturbing.  Well, since she’s not former Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick, we assume she got the typical media double standard pass on animal cruelty.  We’re not excusing Vick for being a knucklehead; we’re just saying it’s funny how her incessant celebration of “moose gutting” is barely getting noticed for what it is: cruel.  Please: spare us the banter about differences between organized hunting and dog fight gambling, because it’s still animal cruelty at the end of the day.  Hunting to survive we understand; hunting to showcase a moose head on a family wall we never quite caught up with that.

Believe me — we’re out here. Check out my blog post about Palin. The Humane Society of the United States has also sent e-mails to people signed up for their legislative blog. But, yes, the mainstream media seems to have given Palin a pass, not only with regard to her animal cruelty but also with regard to the lies she and McCain are continually spewing. Unfortunately, I think you hit the nail on the head: Average Americans are outraged by cruelty to dogs but don’t care as much (or at all) about cruelty to wildlife.

Believe me, WE are out here, too — and we outnumber you Bambi-sniffers ten-to-one.

This election will do what even the Reagan revolution failed to do: energize the average American to get up and speak out to recover our national ethos, our values, and plain common sense, from the raving lunatics in the hairy-armpit feminist crowd, the foppish metrosexual mosh-pit, the tinfoil-hat tree-huggers high up in the branches, and the chip-shouldered Black who sits on the front porch pimping for bucks on the back of Whitey.

Sarah Palin is your wake-up call. There are ten times as many Americans who own firearms and who use them for sport, for homeland defense and home defense, and for collecting delicious wild game so as to maintain the balance among wild species, and to keep fit.

If you don’t like traditional America, move to Paris, Kenya, or San Francisco and go save the whales.

But don’t even DREAM that your insipid leftist values are going to win in November. Just watch the far left MSM be “shocked…shocked!” at the lopsidedness of the final vote, when ‘flyover country’ folks across this great republic get out and nail your liberal, welfare-state butts to the wall.

    By the way, you idiot:

Did you know that every piece of chicken, or fish, or beef, or pork, or pheasant-under-glass that you have put in your liberal pie-hole, was first gutted?

There are over 30 million Americans who hunt and fish — so they gut animals. But there are over 200 million Americans who eat fish and meat from previously-gutted animals, every single day.

Yes, some of you hairy-armpit women and metrosexual men are vapid vegans. But most of you eat meat and fish. Are you really so ignorant as to believe (like a 3-year-old) that those chicken nuggets and hamburgers just drop from the sky?

What idiocy you Bambi-sniffers display! You’re such a riot.
